The CaRuCrew

The CaRuCrew is a semi-professional, award-winning group of dancers who compete with other dance students from all over the country in both regional and national competitions. The CaRuCrew has appeared in a pilot for a non-scripted docu-series, as part of New York’s Got Talent in Times Square, are multi-time performers at NYC’s Cabaret for a Cause alongside Broadway and TV stars, and where chosen to be a part of the first-ever ECDC Charity Showcase bringing together top competitive dance studios from all over the region. Members of the team have competed as soloists at The Dance Awards, have been selected to train at the renowned Joffrey Ballet School, have graced the pages of Dance Spirit Magazine, Pointe Magazine, A Wish Come True, SoandSo Apparel, and been featured in the programs for Encore DCS and Headliners.

They are at the core of CaRu’s passion for performing.

Being a member of the CaRuCrew means being on a team that is a place of opportunity where individuals are mentored by top-notch professional instructors who believe in the importance of building versatile PEOPLE, not just versatile dancers. Supporting one another is our number one rule and our teachers are held to the same standard, supporting and nurturing each and every student in order to cultivate well-rounded performers and facilitate unimagined growth.

Nationally-Recognized Team and Faculty

The CaRuCrew and its faculty have been recognized with countless accolades including 2015 Beyond the Stars National Champions in the Junior Division with their group number “Arabian Nights,” Cassie Russo’s Senior Duo “Chaplin” went undefeated in the 2014 season including the Highest Score at 2014 Encore Grand Finals, Cassie Russo’s Junior Small Group “Applause” went undefeated in the 2016 season and received Highest Score at 2016 Encore Grand Finals, and Cassie Russo has been awarded Top Choreographer awards at numerous competitions including Top Senior Choreographer at 2016 Encore Grand Finals. The team was also chosen by GROOVE Dance Competition as a two-time nominee for the 2016 Industry Dance Awards.
