CaRu Crew Pre-Professional Competition Company

The CaRu Crew is a pre-professional, nationally recognized group of dancers who compete with other dance students from all over the country in both regional and national competitions. The CaRu Crew has appeared on Lifetime TV's Dance Moms, on a pilot for a non-scripted docu-series, as part of New York’s Got Talent in Times Square, they have performed at NYC’s Cabaret for a Cause alongside Broadway and TV stars, and were a part of the first-ever ECDC Charity Showcase bringing together top competitive dance studios from all over the region. 

The CaRu Crew and its faculty have received countless accolades. The CaRu Crew and lead choreographer and artistic director, Cassie Russo-Sweeney, were recognized at the Industry Dance Awards as a nominee. The company is an invited member of the Association of Dance Competitions and Conventions as a Studio of Excellence Award recipient.  

Members of the team have competed as soloists at The Dance Awards, have been selected to train at the renowned Joffrey Ballet School, have graced the pages of Dance Spirit Magazine, Pointe Magazine, A Wish Come True, SoandSo Apparel, and have been featured in the programs for Encore DCS and Headliners. The CaRu Crew is also proud to have alumni on So You Think You Can Dance, as members of college and professional dance teams including Knicks City Dancers, and many who have been accepted into rigorous college dance programs. 

Being a member of the CaRu Crew means being on a team that is a place of opportunity where individuals are mentored by top-notch professional instructors who believe in the importance of building versatile PEOPLE, not just versatile dancers. Supporting one another is our number one rule and our teachers are held to the same standard, supporting and nurturing each and every student in order to cultivate well-rounded performers and facilitate unimaginable growth.
