Health and Safety Guidelines

COVID-19 Health and Safety Guidelines - Indoor Classes

  • Instructors and students (and anyone entering the studio) must wear a face mask at all times. Students will have to wear a mask for the entirety of any indoor session. If a student needs a break, they can step outside the studio to remove their mask. Water breaks are allowed but we ask that if a mask must be removed to drink water, the student and instructor are 6 feet apart.
  • We require all dancers bring a personal hand sanitizer with them to the studio.
  • Students must wash their hands or use hand sanitizer immediately before entering the studio.
  • Practice frequent hand-washing and/or hand sanitizing while at the studio.
  • Limit of ONE bag per dancer with minimal essential items.
  • Students are asked to take their temperature before departing for the studio and there will be temperature checks at the door. If student is experiencing a temperature of 100.4 or higher, they will not be permitted to attend.
  • Parents/guardians are NOT PERMITTED to wait in the lobby or inside the studio during their student's session. Parents are welcome to stay outside the studio to watch or in their cars in the parking lot. We know this is not ideal, especially for some of our younger students, but given the size of our lobby we want to maintain the highest safety standards.
  • CaRu instructors and staff will do their best to maintain social distancing guidelines whenever possible (particularly when not in a session).
  • Students are asked to bring only ONE bag with them to class with minimal essentials.
  • Students cannot attend class if within the past 14 days they have been diagnosed with COVID-19, had a test confirming they have COVID-19, are waiting on a test to confirm if they do or do not have COVID-19, have knowingly been in close contact with someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 or if student or a member of the student's household has/have been advised to self-isolate or quarantine by a doctor or a public health official.
  • If student or anyone in their household is experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms including fever, cough, shortness of breath, loss of taste or smell, severe fatigue or nausea/vomiting, they must refrain from attending class.
  • All students or parents/guardians (if student is under age 18) will be required to fill out a COVID-19 Health and Safety Acknowledgement and Liability Waiver before attending their first in person class.

COVID-19 Health and Safety Guidelines - Outdoor Classes

  • Students must wash their hands or use hand sanitizer before entering dance space.
  • Protective face shield or face mask must be worn at all times.
  • Use of CaRu Entertainment's restroom facilities are permitted, one student at a time (or one parent/guardian and student for our youngest students). Face mask is required for use of the restroom. Please use hand sanitizer when entering the CaRu studio and wash hands thoroughly before returning to class.
  • Students, instructors, staff and parents/guardians are asked to maintain social distancing when possible (particularly when class is not in session).
  • Students are asked to bring only ONE bag with them to class with minimal essentials.
  • Parents/guardians ARE NOT PERMITTED inside the studio during outdoor classes.

Additional Health and Safety Notes for Outdoor Classes:

  • Classes will be held RAIN OR SHINE.
  • Please dress accordingly dependent upon weather. Additional layers are highly recommended in cooler temperatures.
  • Students are asked to wear Ballet shoes for Ballet classes and ALL OTHER outdoor classes will require a durable sport sneaker.
  • Personal yoga mats are permitted for outdoor Ballet classes. Please make sure to sanitize your mat before class and after.
  • For rainy or wet days, students are permitted to bring a small towel to wipe down their mats and/or shoes.
  • Please plan to pick up your student promptly at the end of their classes as to not have students lingering for long periods of time outside after classes have concluded.
